Maybe add a little lesson as you give her her sticker. "You behaved so well at the grocery store, so you get a sticker." She will get the idea. And as she gets older, there will be more opportunities to take the teaching moments a bit farther, as her ability to understand more grows.
Besides... stickers are fun!

Following you from my new blog. Check it out, if you like. :-)
http://earning-my-cape.blogspot.com/Earning-My-Capehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05619658633285029097noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6083710280880550604.post-68042040997377775952012-02-17T00:46:14.561-05:002012-02-17T00:46:14.561-05:00Hey, stickers are supposed to fix everything!Hey, stickers are supposed to fix everything!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09347308698763247516noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6083710280880550604.post-17780888501407279422012-02-16T18:17:22.060-05:002012-02-16T18:17:22.060-05:00Thank you Jess, I to feel so very honored to have ...Thank you Jess, I to feel so very honored to have received this award from you! I love your blog, my 2 year old does to. She is actually sitting on my chair, behind me as she usually does and saying banana's and blueberries, they are my favorite. Then we are scrolling down reading more and she says STICKERS YAY! ;-) I have tried so many different parenting styles and in the end I have realized every kid is different for what works for them. Often I have taken from here and there and made it my own. The Bible as number 1 but everything I have tried over the past 13 years, and I am still learning. Thanks again Jess keep up the awsome Blogging, you totally deserve these awards!elkins Viewhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15503628994684928856noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6083710280880550604.post-39454724261264036012012-02-16T16:25:30.235-05:002012-02-16T16:25:30.235-05:00Thanks for commenting! That was meant to be kind of a joke (I say "kind of" because she has smacked me a few times when she was having a fit!). I clarified in my post so no one else thinks I'm that kind of mommy, lol.Jessicahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10784734079146964518noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6083710280880550604.post-669989842479197982012-02-16T12:33:25.328-05:002012-02-16T12:33:25.328-05:00Thanks Jess, I feel so honoured to be in your top ...Thanks Jess, I feel so honoured to be in your top 5 and appreciate you popping by my blog. I do use rewards for Angel for eg. when I was potty training her etc, specially in situations when I needed her to do things somewhat against her will. But when it comes to things like crossing the road and not pinching/biting/smacking mom and dad, I get quite serious about it and that's when I try to teach her to differentiate right from wrong without using sweets or stickers. I guess we ain't too different from animals eventually, are we? Ultimately there's no right or wrong, it's just what we, as parents, believe in so just trust your own mommy instincts. =)~Summer~https://www.blogger.com/profile/07478137784353655124noreply@blogger.com
